HP Tuning, anyone do it?

I want to get headers asap however i need to find someone that does tuning first so i can get the car updated with the tune after the headers. Bill no longer does it and chummma is not responding to my messages. Anyone have any suggestions?

in terms of who DOES it... no individuals come to my mind. A bunch of people own it for their own cars, however...

Chumma doesn't log in here much, so if you are sending him PMs, he prolly just doesn't know. I would get his email address from Jersey_TA or DemonicBird

hptuners is easy enough to use. jsut get yourself the software and a cheapie laptop if you don't already ahve one and get to it. the help files are well written, the file dump on the hptuners site has tons of info, and they also have a complete message forum to help everyone from noob to advanced.
ust be careful not to trigger the "Danger to manifold" message and you wil be fine.

Woah, good point man; the last thing he needs is his floor panels to fall out while racing, b/c then him and the mad scientist will have to rip apart the block and replace the pistons rings he fried...

PCM Tuning for $150
dunno how reliable, or accurate they are

you dont HAVE to get a tune, i dont have a tune and im putting down 342/362 to the wheels. and running 12.4's @ 113mph on street tires & stock gears, cutting a 1.97 60'.. bolt ons only. im sure a tune would help but as far as it being imperative after the header install, no, youll be fine w/o it for a while. I would look into asking chummma, he did brandons car and robs car, and will most likely be tuning my car in the future :)

i talked to chummma today and we are going to try to work something out, thanks guys
