Linux question!
 
Ok so here's the problem. I have a laptop with Linux and an atheros based wifi card. I want to set up a shared internet connection that is being provided via Ethernet to the laptop. (essentially a mobile Access point)

Solution = ?

distro? dont know much about wifi since i dont use it. im sure someone over at ubuntuforums.org could help you if no one here can ;)

slackware is based off of debian correct?? if so then the ubuntu ppl should be able to help you ;)

yeah can, use squid as a internet gateway but i'm not too sure how you set the wifi up as an AP in slackware
