Droped my cell phone in a bucket of water.

so i was at work, the local restraunt, and we use these spackle buckets to put ppls drinks and soups in when they dont finish. so yeah i droped my cell in there and was trying to fish it out for about 10 seconds.

so i look at it and everything works for about three seconds and then it turns off. so my friend sarah told me to put it in a bag of uncooked rice and let it sit for a few hours. it worked.

the end.

I spilled am entire glass of water on my phone last night, and it sat there all night long. I just dried it out on top of my computer at work for an hour or two and it started working again.....

Cell phones have become quite resilient.

i dropped mine in a swimming pool, drove over top of it with a full size 87 bronco and almost thru it in the delaware once, damn women... i threw it at the window driving over the tocomy palmyra bridge and the window was half down, if it only spun the other way it would be in the delaware lol its my fifth phone tho, thank god for warranties

i dropped one of mine in the toilet last semester  i took it apart and put it on the heater for awhile. i think it fried something that had to do with the battery cuz neither batter would work (the old one or the new one) but when i plugged it in it worked fine. well except for the microphone....

I got pretty drunk on New Years Eve and found my phone the next day in the washer...apparently it went through the full wash cycle....It worked for 5 mns and then it was dead forever!!

jims69camaro 04-30-2007 03:13 PM

letting it dry out completely before trying to use it will affect if/how long it works. if you try to switch it on immediately following the phone's attempt at swimming, you'll likely short it out and it won't work no matter what you try.

mine has also had swimming lessons and has lived to tell about it.

I slammed the iroc hood on my last phone (it was sitting on the fender) and all it did was indent a line on the case  LG FTW!

Did that too. Worked on the car, it started to rain, so i quickly got my stuff out and closed the hood. Looking for my phone 30 min later, walk outside calling it on my house line and heard my engine ringing
