the motor set up now is a
-eagle forged 383 rotating assembly with forged srp pistons -broddix race rite 200c aluminum heads preasseblmed as kit -700 cfm holley 4bbl -harland sharp aluminum rockers -worked 700r4 :( -bullet proof eaton posi with richmond pro comp 3.73s set for street strip car with approx 400 flywheel hp and dont plan on using nos. Did i miss anything else needed to know just name it |
What RPM do you plan on spinning it to?

i only plan to go to 6500 at the max its about 3100 pounds a 84 trans am with a 2500 stall speed not sure on torque but around 420 i suppose

I'm assuming you are looking for a hydraulic cam....roller or flat-tappet?

easiest thing to do would be to looks into a comp cams extremem energy piece or one of the lunati voodoo cams. you can get away with a little less compression with them and save some strain on the bottom end with a modern fast ramp cam design as they are designed to build cy l pressure at higher rpms.
if you want to spin it to 6500 i woudl suggest either comp #12-250-3 or lunati #60104LK both opperate to the 6400-6500 range and recomend only a slightly higher minimu stall than you were thinking about, 2800rpm. 300 rpm stall difference is barely noticable in your day to day driving and would be an easy change to live with. |
