2) will the car run better or worse? (think my cat is clogged)
3) anyone have no cat or a gutted cat on their car? or should i buy a 50 doller azone one?

1, no, check engine light will not come on
2. if its clogged, it will definately run better without it
3. majority of my vehicles didnt have cats

thanks.... 2 more things... i heard that if theres no cat there isnt enough backpressure to start the car? that sounds totally wrong to me... and will the car run rich if i put a testpipe in its place???

thanks again..

thats dumb...the car will start fine. it will probably run ever-so-slightly rich but nothing to be concerned about

with a stock catback and exhaust manifolds it wont be loud enough to notice

NJSPEEDER 05-15-2007 04:54 PM

if the rest of the exhaust is stock, it will be about as loud as a car with a cat back system.

Jared1970Chevelle 05-15-2007 11:26 PM

 thats the dumbest thing ive read in a while....rice.

anyway, the only reason removing a cat would have adverse effects, is if theres an o2 sensor after the cat, or when you have to go to inspection...oh and the smell is pretty obnoxious (at least on my car anyway)

j0n 05-16-2007 08:01 PM

y'know i never noticed any smell on my t/a, my friends all did though

my mustang is horrible...well i guess its cause my weatherstripping around my hatch doesnt really seal, and since the exhaust dumps under the car it gets sucked in there if i have my windows open/tops off...so i smell like exhaust after driving it

Jared1970Chevelle 05-17-2007 05:31 PM

some dudes selling a high flow for 30 buks imma just buy that for a mild cam sound...
