If anyone lives in the area of the wildfire please PM me asap...I have a hunting cabin in the area of Lucille's Diner on 539. If anyone can find out if that area is in danger of burning I would appreciate it.

hmm where are marshmellow's when you need them

as soon as my little brother gets home we are gona get in his car and see if we can get close to the fire but right now all roads are closed wish my car had reverse id leave now and take a dirt road :)

wrong generation 05-15-2007 06:50 PM

just got word from a neighbor that they closed down the parkway here now

hmm wonder how long until the fire gets here sense they are only closing down the exits where the fire is heading but i can say its gotten rather windy and my 11 year old brother is out there making a pile of ashes in the road lol

hardline_42 05-15-2007 07:00 PM

I just got back from my daily commute from AC to Englishtown. Here's my report:

The parkway was fine from exit 38 to exit 58 where I got off. Route 539 north was closed right at the parkway exit/entrance. Of course, instead of getting back on the parkway, I decided to jump on a local road towards the airport (stafford forge, I guess?) and ended up on route 9. I took route 9 north and then 72 west. The road was closed (way before the intersection with 539) so I turned aroud and got back on the parkway north. It was a freaky sight driving up that way. The smoke was blocking most of the sunlight and the smoke smell was pretty bad. I got off on the Route 37 exit and everything was fine north of that. Hope that helps anyone (who has access to this webstie while they're driving).

BigAls87Z28 05-15-2007 07:08 PM

Ahh man, I wonder which direction the fire is moving. I dont want to get down there, and then have the parkway closed. I can still take 35 north, but thats a trip.
FYI, if anyone seeds the green machine in on or around rt 37, give it a honk and a wave.

bubba428 05-15-2007 07:16 PM

fire is moving west........
parkway should be down a while

bandit88 05-16-2007 06:01 AM

i live about 10 minutes away from the fire..... nothing evacuated and just the local fire company on call

I did smell smoke on the way home from maple shade though
