Camaro Groups

Are there any Camaro groups in Jackson?..Preferably 3rd gen. I just moved here and am looking for a group. I have a 1990 Camaro RS..let me know.

GrandmasterCow 05-16-2007 11:40 AM

yeah this is one big NJ state-wide club. Welcome to the Family!

90 Camaro 05-16-2007 11:50 AM

ok..that's a start, what's the group called? But,I was looking for more of a group based mainly in the Jackson area though.

GrandmasterCow 05-16-2007 11:52 AM

i'm not sure if theres any other groups in the jackson area as i'm not from that area but this club, NJFBOA, is state wide and we got meetings and such in each of the three parts: north, central, & south

Ok..thank you. I just joined this site yesterday and don't know much about it. I was a member of ThirdGen.org for a while, and still am. But thank you for responding.

90 Camaro 05-16-2007 12:04 PM

I would still like to continue searching..so, if there is anyone on the site that lives in the Jackson area and drives a Camaro, preferably 3rd gen, let me know.

BonzoHansen 05-16-2007 12:28 PM

I'm not sure you'll find a more local group, at least nothing organized. We cover all gens! Come to a meet. And welcome aboard.

Tru2Chevy 05-16-2007 12:29 PM

Welcome to the club!

We do have several members in the Jackson area, but there are no Jackson-based clubs that I know of. We are all one big happy club family here, many of us travel all over the state to hang out with other members. We have official club meets every month that rotate between North, Central, and South Jersey. There are also lots of other smaller gatherings around the state every week.

I live about 10 mins out of Jackson...I dont have a camaro anymore, but we do have a few other members in the area also.

Rich189 05-16-2007 02:26 PM

yep im about 15 mins from jackson too but im completely opposite of what you guys are lookin for having a 4th gen ta

BigAls87Z28 05-16-2007 04:50 PM

I live about 30 mins east of Jackson, but work in Freehold. A bunch of us hang out in Toms River on 37. I have a 2nd gen, but I still rock my TGO and TGO Nats shirt from time to time.
My SN is a thirdgen...does that count?

Ok, I understand how the site works, and I find it quite interesting. Amusing actually. I just think it's pretty cool when I see 9 VW Jettas all the same years driving down the road, I laugh at the fact that they're all Jettas, but I find the whole driving together with the same years kind of cool. So, I've always wanted to do that, but I'm not limiting myself to just third gen Camaros, if you got a F-Body, thats all that matters. By the way, I work in freehold. Freehold Honda on RT. 9 South. the motorcycle dealership.

Blacdout96 05-16-2007 08:30 PM

well the best place to start gatherin with us is at the meets. were having one in the south in millville, and what you should do if you wanna roll with other fbodies is make a thread of a meeting place you would like to meet up at with other members in your area. like im from a.c. and we got a whole bunch of people traveling together there. also t.r., also known as rt.37 is a good place too. hooking up wiht a few of our guys, you can roll up in the parking lot with other mars/firebirds too, adn i do see a few 3rd gens out there, so if you want to , sign up for the monthly meet going on down here in the south, you'll have a blast, great food, and may pick up some good info on your car from us.

will do. btw, hows the fires up there, they getting close to your area?

90 Camaro 05-16-2007 08:51 PM

The fires are getting better, the rain helped, but, it's no where near me in Jackson, and I doubt it will reach here.

79CamaroDiva 05-16-2007 10:44 PM

as the other people said, we're a pretty tight knit community here.. many of us cant even figure out how many miles we've driven just to hang out with other members.. our monthly meets are a great time, and our non-official weekly-ish meets are a blast too. welcome aboard!!

HardcoreZ28 05-17-2007 09:54 AM

Welcome aboard.....I'm about 45 minutes north of Jackson but looking at houses down that way currently. Glad to see we've finally got another thirdgen member. We're few and far between compared to those 4th gen people hahah.

90 Camaro 05-17-2007 11:28 AM

Thanks alot guys. I've wanted a Camaro since I was 5 years old. I finally got one for my first car 2 years ago. Ever since then, I just wanted to meet people with the same passion for these cars as I have, and I'm glad I found the right site for that. I'm looking forward to some of these meets. By the way, HardcoreZ28, I'm all about the 3rd Gen maros.

Blacdout96 05-17-2007 04:11 PM

Keep an eye out for a guy with a black Iroc-z. I was talking to him at the wawa near the great adventure and he runs a camaro group. But I live in jackson and I don't see many third gens.

90 Camaro 05-18-2007 11:31 AM

Thanks. I definitely will look for him.
