c6 rims on camaro......
what would i need to put c6 corvette thinkspoke rims on my 3rd gen convertible.... wheelspacers?
|
If you got C6 replicas for 4th gens you would only require the usual spacers everyone uses when putting 4th gen wheels on 3rd gens. I'm sure someone else will chime in.
http://www.skulte.com/ If you got C6 wheels straight off a C6 they will require pretty large spacers as they don't even fit 4th gens. |
s***..... these are the real deal c6 rims soo is it even possible to get um on my 3rd gen camaro?
|
of course it is! bolt pattern is the same, you just need to check the offsets. if i'm not mistaken, c6 wheels have been put on an 4th gen f-body before, but with pretty large spacers. now, if memory serves me correctly (which it never has), the 3rd gens would require less of a spacer.
i say do it man, i'm willing to bet it only needs a small spacer and its gonna look sick on a 3rd gen! post pics |
the kid wants 300 bucks for them.... he sold his 4th gen and bought a mustang.... so he just wants to get rid of um.... where can i buy wheel spacers and are they safe?
|
alex posted a link. you can also get them from thunder racing. if you want them, buy them, and measure the offsets to see how much of a spacer you need. spacers will be fine as long as they are not too big and you get new, longer and harder studs.

Not spacers. Adapters. Spacers should only be used in width's under 1/4". Adapters can be had in much larger sizes (I run 2.25" adpaters on my 2nd gen with Z06 wheels). They bolt onto the stock studs and have their own set of studs that the wheels bolt to. I get mine from www.wheeladapters.com. Make sure they clear your stock hubs/axle flanges and that they have a wheelcentric lip machined on them to center the wheel properly (70.3mm is the center hole IIRC). They'll run you about $300 bucks for a set of 4.
