 ls1 t56 on lt1? does anyone know if a t56 from an ls1 can bolt to a lt1? |
I gave T56rebuilds a call, theyre going to call me back shortly. Im not doubting people's knowledge on the boards, but i didnt want to sell someone a transmission if I'm not 100% sure its going to work :) |
i heard they didnt but something about the input shaft |
T56 rebuilds called me, and said you would have to change the input shaft and a few other parts as well, it would be a pain in the ass to do so. no worries tho, im selling my T56 to them as a core :) |
like ron posted, no it wont work. yea, the input shaft is longer i believe on ls1 T56. |
I own both. :D No, it won't work for a bunch of reasons. Input shaft length being #1, I believe clutch style is #2. |
ok....back to searching thanks anyway |

I've got one out of a wrecked '96 SS. Just the trans, no bellhousing or shifter. I never ran it but I was told it does not need a rebuild. |
