Sometimes it pays to be a legend...
I decided to cruise around in the AMX today, leaky tranny or no leaky tranny. I stopped by a local parts store where I know the manager, who is named Jeff, and I told him my tale of woe. Welp, it turns out that Jeff's brother in law is now running a local tranny shop, so Jeff got on the phone, and the tranny guy told me to bring it right over. I got there, and the tranny guy said to me, "Didn't you used to work at Kar Parts?" Turns out I knew the guy from way back, and I also knew 2 of the other guys in the shop. Plus they had seen the AMX around at the local cruises/car shows. So, they got me up on the lift, and we poked around a bit. The leak seems to be coming from the dip stick tube. It was kinda late in the day when I got there, so first thing tomorrow I'm gonna head over there, and we are gonna try and put this leak to bed. It will be so nice if I get it all buttoned up w/o having to truck all the way to Dynotech!
