Depending on the condition of your differential you may need a new one. I think the stock unit for your year is an Auburn and they are non-rebuildable.
As for price, you get what you pay for with gear installations.
If you cheap out, chances are you will get a shop that just bolts them up once, and as long as they fit "you are good to go". Nevermind that pinion depth and backlash are probably off and your car will sound like you have howler monkeys in the trunk. Don't believe the bull about "Brand XX gears are known for being noisy". Might be true a little bit but it's not a reason for a ton of noise.
A quality installation requires precision and care. Good shops usually have to set up the gears a few times before the tolerances are what they deem acceptable.
