Need opinions/advice

First off, I was trying to get my car runing by june 30th, but I decided to not half a$$ things..

I got an air compressor, and will be getting a decent gun to shoot some paint with.

What color should I paint my engine bay? Stick with my color for now even though I will paint the car another color in a few years. Paint the bay the same color as the car will be painted? Or just paint the engine bay black?

Another thing I need advice for is what color/style should I go with the car in a year or so, so If I do decide to paint the engine bay the different color I can go get the paint.

The possible future colors for my car are.

silver 82-84 bumpers or -90 formula bumpers(if I cant get a decent set of 82-84's)

GTA knock off(no gta badges) but non vented fenders, full GFX and bumpers, tail lights and some type of spoiler, in non other then the 89 turbo trans am white.

The same color, Just real shiney. with an actual reflection.

Sunset orange metalic. any body style

so what should I do?

I've always advocated the white and black theme for your car given the interior. Arctic white with black accents / decals. Make the whole car match inside and out.

As for the engine bay, to keep it clean looking, make it match the body color. So with the theme above, the bay should be white as well.

Congrats on getting an air compressor, that's a step in the right direction. I'm gonna have to agree that the arctic white would look awesome. But, if it's gonna be a year from now when you actually paint the car, I think that going with a generic color (black) for the engine bay would be your best bet. That way, if your plans change or your color scheme changes, your engine bay doesn't clash or look out of place.

Id easily do a black paint under the hood, But I would not feel it ONE BIT if its painted white..

Post up pics when yer done. Try to get a good, high def close up of the paint. I'd like to see the quality of the shoot from the setup you bought. I might take you up on the offer to borrow the shooter instead of doing the rattle can paint job.

I think silver would look cool. I would also paint the engine bay black.
