One thing I haven't done at GI's is go to the parts counter to see if the employees are the ones doing the stripping, so they can charge more for having it "off the shelf". The disclaimer here is: I hit GI's only once every 4 months so a lot can happen between visits. |
thats why i try to save as many parts as possible, but i also get in trouble for it

There are 2 across the bridge in Morrisville, PA. Both are U-Pull-It type places, and both usually have a decent selection of 3rd gens. It's pretty much luck of the draw as far as how picked over they are when you go....

I dont know how far it is from you & I have never been there... But it sounds promising,

He has a few rusting cars on the side of his yard, mostly second gens when I was there nearly 3 years ago. HIs backyard has home made shelves with parts stacked and scattered all over, some also rusting since they're sitting outside unprotected. YOu give him a call and arrange a time for him to be available. He prefers weekends but can arrange a weekday if he's not working. Plus getting back there from main roads is a PITA. |
