Ok so I finally got on the ball and contacted a local airport :-D

• To Lincoln Park Airport:
  Hello my name is Alex Quiles. My father is a former member of the EAA Chapter 501 and I grew up at the airport looking at planes and hanging out with the pilots. Today, I am a local amateur car photographer in search of new locations for my work.
  
  I do photography for a large regional online car club and I am asking for your permission to take photos of 10-15 cars on the airport tarmac, parking area or possibly inside a hanger, of course under your supervision. I am fully aware of the dangers of working on an active airport and with your permission I'd like to set up a small shoot on a weekend. As my father is still in touch with many of the EAA members, I could provide you with personal references if necessary.

So who would be interested? Can I get 10-15 cars if this goes through completely? Please if you want to come be sure you actually try your best to come. I can't have people backing out last minute and half the cars showing up. This needs to look good for the club so we can be invited back.

i would deff be interested, just give me a date and time if we can get the place

I didn't know Lincoln Park had an airport...haha shows how much I know

very cool. keep us informed. may want to throw this up in the events forum as well, i can imagine the opportunity to get pics at the airport would bring out a lot fo cars.
is there a local flying club or club for owners of small to executive sized planes in that area? working together with those who keep their planes at that airport would create opportunities for some killer shots.

id be down...as long as the shots of my car will be from far away to not see the cracks in the paint...:lol:

i know where that is. my friend lives about 5min from that airport. i go past it all the time. i would be interested as well. let me know the time and date and ill see what i could do

I'm about 20 min away from L.P. so it is a def. possibility depending on the days they have availability. If they get back to you with a favorable response and you get a date let me know i need to plan my schedule as far in advance due to my work schedule.

i'm game if you give me a date so i can take off from work. Just PM me or let me know a date and i'm there unless it's raining of course.

Date and time please

It will definitely be a weekend most likely a sunday but a date & time will be worked out when I hear from the facilitators of the airport. But it'll def be when my car is ready to rock 8-) this is just a preliminary thing so I can get an idea in case I have to propose any ideas to the airport people I wanted to make sure there was some interest.

Its probably a little more then an hour to there but I promise its worth it!

Im only about 10 minutes from the airport. Give me a date and time, and I will be there.

Also depending on date and time I might be in. If its a date and time when I am available (the end of August would be perfect) then you can DEFINATLY count me in. If it so happens, its on a Sunday or a Saturday my wife is off work, then you can count me and my wife in with our 2 F-bodies in my sig.
