optispark bad?
 
when i bought my lt1 the guy said it ran fine but as im taking it apart i notoced the opti is covered in oil and i no when it gets wet its shot but i didnt no if oil would do the same

Probably OK, you would have to really soak it with oil for it to seep into it. Optis going bad from water have to go thru some fairly large puddles or have the water pump leak on then pretty good before they fail.
