NASCAR FANS/1:64 scale HAULERS

Great to hear he still has a number 8. If anybody is interested, I am selling my entire collection of NASCAR 1:64 scale HAULERS and TRUCKS. I have well over 50 of these, so if there is a driver from the middle to the late 90's, let me know.

Ian 09-19-2007 06:18 PM

that was nice of him, now all the douches with #8 tatoos can get them to say 88

Well I have tons of NASCAR memorabilia and 1:64 scale cars, but they're worthless cause the market blew out all these car onto the market and ruined the value of the cars, even the old ones. not only that but the fans of today dont know any of the drivers in my collection cause I collected from the early to late 90's, and almost none of the drivers are around anymore, so to me its worthless to try to sell them now, better hold onlt them for another 15 to 20 years like what happened to hotwheels. even tho a million came out of a style, wait a good 20-30 years and their value is met. thats the other problem, like Im ready to sell now, but you have to sit on them till they regain their value. But back to the Dale Jr. case, glad to see him get an 8 number for his car. Stick that in your pipe and smoke that Teresa. He just needs a good team and a good mentor cause In sure Sr. woudl have taught him a few more things if he was still around, and probably would of been better then Sr, so hopefully Hendricks can bring out the best in him.

At least now maybe he'll be able to get through an entire race without an engine going ka-blooie.

he bought the #88 from whoever owns Jarrett's car...it's cool cause he's gonna have 2 main sponsers...he is splitting it between Amped Energy Drink and the Army National Guard...so there are two different paint schemes for the car...

Mike 09-20-2007 11:28 AM

79dizZy28 09-20-2007 12:32 PM

NO body owns the numbers NASCAR owns the numbers and every year every team puts a bid in to nascar for the numbers if nascar wants to take away a number they can!! and yates is useing a diffarent number and gave up the bid for the 88!!

Mike 09-20-2007 10:15 PM

if thats the case why did they have to get teresa to give up the 8 and why was she allowed to say no

"NASCAR owns the numbers and licenses them to teams on an annual basis," series spokesman Randy Poston told the newspaper. "A team may allow another team to use the number for that year pending NASCAR's approval." Generally, if a team has been using a number, that number is re-issued to the same team, Poston told the newspaper. If a team relinquishes the number, it reverts back to NASCAR.

Yates voluntarily gave up the 88 and asked that it went to Jr. since it used to belong to Jr's grandfather Ralph. Yates and Ralph raced together back in the day.

i think it's cool that he has the same # that his grandfather had! i know people had wanted him to have the #3 but that should never happen. that # should be retired imo. maybe it is?

I don't think that it officially is, but I can't see any team actually wanting to use it.
