Matt, I hear it's a safe thing to do. A lot of the old skool guys take old steel wheels and widen the rears and narrow the fronts and race em hard with no problems that I've heard of. |
after looking around, that weldcraft place seems like the place to use. thanks bob

No problem. I know a lot of people have used Weldcraft, that's why I have the link. I was considering getting the AMX's rear wheels taken out to 11 inches, and if I do I will have Weldcraft do the work. 8-)

I've read many positive things about Weldcraft on LS1Tech, over the winter I might have my rears widened half an inch!

how far can wheels be widened? I'd love to have my 17x9 rears taken out to 11

You really need to look at the wheel as they sit on the car to figure out if they need to be widened outward, inward or both.
