yours looks REALLY grainy.. what'd you do?

camaroracer1992 10-15-2007 02:42 PM

looks ok, not a fan of the actual flame colors though, i think it wouldve looked better with a different color scheme

FBODS4EVER 10-15-2007 02:45 PM

I'm not a fan of flames on late models, but who ever sprayed it does have talent.

mtnhopper1 10-15-2007 06:13 PM

I'm not a fan of the realistic flames. Like UBG said, the guy has talent, but I just don't like it on a car.

The traditional hotrod flames trimmed in blue pinstripe are classic. I'd take those anyday.

mtnhopper1 10-17-2007 10:43 AM

I prefer the flames on this F-body:

...like I said before... classic!

If you are interested in a paint job like that, contact Jack. He has light blue real flames on his NBM SS that he painted himself, and he also painted the flames on camaroracer1992's car.

the grainy part is the loss of resolution as a result of flipping it over to .gif to make it (the size) fit under the posting guidelines.

i got rid of the stop sign/street sign and whatever post that was growing out of the hood. that was my point, unfortunately once i made the changes the pic was too large (KB wise) to post. i have both the original and the one i 'chopped on my computer in the same resolution, and it's very apparent what the changes were.

the photo looks much better, imo, without things 'growing' out of the car. it was a good background, with lots of shades of contrasting colors, but the signs/posts detracted from what would have been an excellent pic. also, you should fill the frame as much as possible with the subject. in this case, the car. it's a pic of a car, not the real estate behind the car. just my humble opinion, ya unnerstan.
