R&L Strikes Again

As some of you may know, I had my 383 LT1 built and installed at the machine shop Westwood known as R&L/KMD Tuning. I had numerous problems form day one, including 2 oil leaks, a 2 blown water pumps due to a reused part, and a final price which was no where near the estimate. All said and done it was a terrible experience. I have heard of other stories of problems there and personally know of 3 other people who have had problems. So 2.5 years after having the Camaro with the 383 under the hood, I have recently discovered one more very major flaw. I have had a vibration in the car which was thought to be an engine vibration. It was noticed the first week I had the car back, but at the time, I did not think much of it because I didn't know any better. My experience in the automotive field has increased my knowledge 100x. I have had 3 other people, shops and individuals, express their concern to me about the motor. I was finally directed to ask R&L if my crank was internally or externally balanced. I come to find that my 383 kit came with an internally balanced crankshaft, which I prefer. The only problem is that they did not remember what flexplatethey puton the car and it turned out to be incorrect after I checked it out. There was a typically huge counterweight on my damn flexplate which completely negates the fact that my crankshaft was already balanced. I just today attempted to remedy the problem without having to remove the trans and get a new flexplate. I successfully removed the weight without damaging anything and when I started the car.....wow, like a brand new car and like it should have been from day one. I do not know how much life has been unfortunatly taken off the life of my motor but I am beyond happy that the problem is long gone. I just wanted to follow up on the R&L bull**** that has ruined many motors and many bank accounts.

PLEASE BE AWARE!! HOPEFULLY I CAN SAVE MANY HEARTACHES ALONG THE WAY FOR ANYONE WHO MAY COME ACROSS R&L AND I MUST SAY PLEASE STAY FAR, FAR AWAY FROM WESTWOOD AND THEIR SHOP!!!!

If I am posting in the wrong area I appologize.
