The Who
So I'm watching this new documentary on The Who called Amazing Journey. It's on VH1 Classics. If you are a Who fan, or like watching this kind of behind the scenes things, I suggest you check it out. It's pretty good, maybe not great, but good.
Man, The Who was a great live band from around 68 until Moonie died. Maybe I'll bust out Live At Leeds tomorrow. |
Weak, they show Moon being carried off at the Cow Palace show, but didn't show how the Who finished the set with a kid from the audience.

I watched that Saturday night. It was pretty good with a lot of old footage from the 60's. At first I thought it was awesome that there were no commercials, but then I needed a break for refueling! The footage from 65 when they were doing 'Heatwave' was pretty funny. They were a cover band but they played everything a lot heavier. Pretty cool show though.

Yeah, I never saw footage of them when they were still called the highnumbers. They were heavy for their time (it's all relative).

I wish I could get times and listings for VH1 Classics. I stumbled across the Who show twice over the weekend, but didn't want to watch bits and pieces. I wanna see it beginning to end.

Here you go, my bald headed brutha! Their site stinks, I can't figure out how to search by title.
http://www.vh1classic.com/schedule/ That is one of my favorite channels anymore, esp at night. Lots of concerts. The BBC Crown Jewel series has been great - Faces, Police, AC-DC. The Classic Albums has been cool too. I saw Number of the Beast the other night. A bunch of Kiss shows, Heaven & Hell. I even saw vintage Twisted Sister the other night. |
