remote start + VATS

do i need a VATS bypass to use a remote start system. i was searching by vehicle on circuitcity.com and it doesnt say anything about it, but i think you need one?

I believe you do. There should be a vehicle specific adapter harness for your car. I saw one on ebay not too long ago from a ebay store that sold remote start kits.

you can put a resistor in line with one of the wires thats the same resistance as the one in your key... makes buying keys alot cheaper

Just remember there's like 15 :?: different resistors in our keys so you could measure that with an ohm meter or just go to radio shack with the key so they can test and supply the proper resistor.
