NJ inspection question

Does the driver window need to go down to pass?

NumberTwo 11-15-2007 05:48 PM

Yes

IROCdan330 11-15-2007 05:50 PM

I've been told no on many occasions.

depends on the guy at the inspection station (if u go the free way) the way its written , yes... but if homeslice is in a good mood hell do ur exhaust and brakes and send u on ur way 80% of the time. At least at the one in Paramus.

You could also *Ahem* find a guy who lets things slide , im sure there are quite a few peeps who can give advice on this around somewhere

Technically, I believe the answer is yes.

Yes @ a state inspection you have to be able to roll your window up & down in order to manually correct your side mirrors.

any equipment that came on the car from the manufacturer must be in good working order in order to pass inspection.

That is a bit of a broad statement, no? that would include the radio, fog lights, trunk release....

I really think the front windows have to open, although I doubt anyone check the RH window.
