Got my foo' mind BLOWN today!!!

Today I rolled out to Pennsyltucky to visit a shop that I want to work on my T-Type. Chuck and Marcus Savitske run Savitske Classic & Custom
http://www.scandc.com/, and they are TOP NOTCH car builders...pretty much on the same level as a Boyd or Foose, plus Marcus is a GM G-Body guru...he can make a Regal handle like a Porsche. These guys are always working on something different and spectacular...the last time I was up there they were working on a Pro Touring style 62 Suburban. Today I was greeted with a build up starting from scratch of this:
http://blog.uncovering.org/archives/...maxionCar1.jpg
Long story short: This model car was orig. built in the 30's by American inventor R. Buckminster Fuller. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Buckminster_Fuller
There is only one remaining example left in existance, and it is in a museum. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dymaxion_car A rather wealthy dood comissioned the Savitske's to build a replica of it, and that is what they are doing, and doing it from scratch! It is powered by a Flathead Ford, and also uses a 32 Ford drivetrain. It is flippin' nutz!

so I take it you are comfortable shipping your T-Type out to them? Sounds like a nice place.

Yep, it's going out the week before Christmas. I love those guys...after I arrived they were concerned about whether or not I have had lunch yet... They are top notch. In the future I'm also planning on having them do some hard core AMC suspension stuff for me.

That's awesome to hear! I just got a set of tall lower balljoints for the Monte from them. Now I just have to find time to install 'em!

I just wanna dump the the car up in Pennsyltucky, and drive it home in the spring. At about 150 MPH...
