No Fault Auto Insurance

Nj is a "no Fault" stste right? Does that mean no matter whos fault an accident is each parties own insurance pays for their own damages and if one driver feels th eother driver is at fault he or she must take that up privatly with a lawyer? What if you get hit from behind? Isnt it still automaticaly the other drivers insurance which picks up on it? I mean I have liabality insurance for something right?

I'm pretty sure that NJ is at partically no fault state...... The last accident I had it was deemed 80% the other guys fault and 20% my fault.... and his insurance paid for my car, and if i recall correctly my insurance didn't fork out anything. That was also about six years ago, I don't know if any of the laws changed.

when i got rear ended in the camaro it was the other person's fault 100%
as for who paid for it? i'm pretty sure he did.

Your own insurance covers your own damages regardles of who is at fault. The insurance companies will then battle it out.

all my accidents have been 100% the other persons fault, they tried to pull that percentage crap once and i fought it and had to speak with the other insurance company and they changed their mind and they paid for the damage to my car
