First good snow/ice storm of the year?

Sunday is looking like it could get messy. I know north Jersey already had some of the white stuff but this system could get a lot more of the state before it hopefully changes to rain. I just got done raking leaves and I'm not ready to shovel any snow! Good thing I did the headers last week!

GP99GT 11-29-2007 05:42 PM

weve been sucking leaves at work all week...this is the latest the leaves have come down in a long time. if it snows...overtime! wootttttt

bad64chevelle 11-29-2007 05:44 PM

I hope we get hammered this winter...i wanna have an excuse to see how those 35" tires do in the snow.

GP99GT 11-29-2007 05:45 PM

big wide tires = suck in snow ;)

alamantia 11-29-2007 06:11 PM

If it does snow... Farmers Almanac will be right again, creepy...

The long term winter forecast is for a milder than normal winter with next week as one of the colder bursts expected. The good thing about snow this early in the season is that the ground isn't frozen or even all that cold so anything that falls won't be too hard to remove.

Much like the snow 2 weeks ago. It melted fairly quickly, and accumulated much more on the grass and stuff than the driveways/roads

speak for urselfs, up here in the hills of ct, hasnt been over 35* so yea if it snows im screwed, gotta use a 4wd fuso thats half the size of my truck, 20 stops and its full and money i got 195 stops, in another town and i gotta drive back to the shop to dump out

12secondv6 11-29-2007 08:43 PM

Trans Am + snow = :(

JL8Jeff 11-29-2007 09:33 PM

Camaro SS + 275/40/17 tires + snow = :drive: It was interesting driving the car home in that sleet storm last winter. But I was actually doing better than a lot of the scared people in their front wheel drive cars.

Iroc-z86 11-29-2007 09:39 PM

yeah cant wait to see my bros jeep with the brand new 33's on there in the snow, i know wide tires suck but these tires have some serious tread so it will be interesting. as for my dd just got the snow tires put on my extra rims today :) so maybe ill put them on tomorrow just in case otherwise its bald tires + snow + torquey v6 = not going anywhere.

Teds89IROC 11-29-2007 09:59 PM

I have emergency chains in the trunk of the T-bird, I just pray

wretched73 11-29-2007 10:04 PM

foff667 11-29-2007 10:19 PM

Damnit! and I'll be in Florida where it looks to be low 80's on Sunday :(

Oh well, I have the rest of the winter to see the white stuff I suppose

bandit88 11-30-2007 01:56 AM

Since i'm buy the shore i won't get anything :(

Jersey_TA 11-30-2007 02:17 AM

I hope we don't get anything down here in SJ. Trans am is a no go, vette has bad back tires, and the truck is less than driveable.
