Just don't cruise around with those Silverstars on all the time. They will burn out fast, and Sylvania has gone on record as saying that they designed them for non-constant use.
|
looks good, where did you get the LED's from?
|
egay! seller named cal-motor.
nice to know that now about the silverstars lol the glue is drying on the headlights that i just put them in too |
looks pretty good but I'm big on the color temp of the lights matching. Careful with the parking lights being white since you can get pulled over if they flash white while in use.
I went with switchback LEDs, which will be white and flash amber keeping things legal. Last thing I need is to get pulled over for some stupid stuff and they actually look closer at my car lol. -brian |

yea i just brought my car to the hardcore inspection station in morristown where they inspect salvage cars and they passed me with white led's in my sidemarkers.. also in my old 4th gen they passed me with white bulbs in my clear corners..the switchback LEDs are cool tho, im gunna look into those

Fog lights are over-rated
The LED's in the side markers look good. Eventually I plan on switching all my exterior and interior bulbs to LEDs. |
i have silverstar sealed beams on the 94, they are pretty good. i just put them in with some pilot fog lights that HAD led's in them. took them out though

Yeah everything I've heard about the corners has said they need to at least flash amber. The lenses can be clear. |

Nice, thanks. Maroman, how many LED's are in those bulbs you have? and are they wide angle or narrow?
|
ted, heres the link
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...MEWN:IT&ih=009 i have pretty much the same ones in my 88 but with the older style base |
I would recommend tower style LED's from www.autolumination.com . They evenly light up the entire housing which makes for an extremely clean look. These guys also offer very good customer service. Whenever I had a problem (rarely) they were quick to make me happy.

ah thanks. I was checking out autolumination and there stuff is crazy expensive! Anyone have experience with superbrightleds.com? and thanks for pointing out how it didn't fit the 3rd gen housings. Otherwise, I'd probably spend the $$ for those tower style for the parking lamps because they are huge and I'd definitely want the entire housings to light up, or at least evenly. Hmm, I'll have to see what to do
|
ted they didnt fit my 4th gen. i have a regular plain LED in my 3rd gen
|
again really strange. I've had no trouble fitting the big towers into any of my factory and aftermarket housings. Too long or too wide?
