LT1 exhaust vs LS1 exhaust

Hey all.

I'm selling a maganaflow cat back system off the 99. Can this exhuast be used in an LT1 car? Specifically, i think the issue may be where the system bolts to the cat.

You are correct, you( ie the buyer ) need an S-pipe. SLP sells them.

Zoinks! $110 for a pipe. I might think a 1/2 decent muffler shop coud fab that.

The buyer shouldn't need the S pipe if the car is a 95-97 with the dual cats. If it's a 93-94 then they could cut their I-pipe to match it up. I still never understood why that S-pipe and cat-back mate up at a 2-3/4" connection and not a full 3" connection.

So if I have an Loudmouth on my LT1 I can just do a swap cause I have the adapter from Slp? Cool

procamaroz28 12-25-2007 06:57 PM

you would swap without the "adapter"
