Should look pretty good. Is your car lowered at all? If it isn't consider it.

Yeah its supposed to be a two inch drop all around. I'll throw some pics up toward the end of the week after I mount them and such. Tires are 245/40/R17 and 275/35R18.

qwikz28 01-21-2008 08:21 PM

do you have tires yet?

haha i had them before i got the rims...even before the car! im crazy like that. good deal too. parents own a service center so i get cost.

qwikz28 01-21-2008 09:29 PM

well i was about to say you went pretty narrow on the tire sizes. you could easily fit 275s in the front and 295s or 305s in the rear

DaSkinnyGuy 01-21-2008 09:34 PM

What color is your car? If its black that would just work perfect

Those size tires are really stretching it. Ditch those 245's, put the 275's up front and throw a 295/35/18 on the back.

Alex.....a 275/35/18 will have a hard time fitting a 17 x 9.5 rim, don't you think?

alex is right, you're exposing your wheels to crub damage and potholes.

but don't put the 18s in the front like alex said to cause that won't work ;)

sweetbmxrider 01-21-2008 10:05 PM

you think? i could do that no problem. i just thought with the drop id be catching edges and bottoming out like it was cool. well ill swap the tires tomorrow i guess. see what goes down. oh and the car is like a blue-green. yeah it was repainted.
i didnt plan on the 18 inch tires on 17 inch rims, but thanks for catching that detail.

Duh, I'm thinking in 18" all around land. I got a bazillion PM's today on LS1Tech about my stupid wheels.

Yes do a 275/40/17 & a 295/35/18. Plenty of common brands in those sizes and the prices are pretty good.

Sumitumo HTRZ's in 275/40/17 are under $70 a pop I think.

sweetbmxrider 01-21-2008 10:14 PM

hey thanks for the advice. i'm gunna stick with the Faulkens though. i dig them. what about 315/35 out back? too much with a two inch drop?

For an 18x10.5 you would need a 315/30/18. With a 2" drop your going to most likely run into clearance issues and you'll have to roll your fenders.

I'm running an 18x10.5 C5 Z06 wheel with Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 (which are for sale) And I'm lowered a good amount and I need to desperately roll the fenders.

alright i'll try 275/40s up front and 295/35s out back. thanks again for your time. good thing i didn't get all excited and rip the labels off. i'd be out a few bucks.

qwikz28 01-21-2008 10:25 PM

which model falkens? i have the azenis rt 615s and i love them

sweetbmxrider 01-21-2008 10:34 PM

ha i don't think i ever looked. get some mounted and installed pics late in the week i guess. won't have time till then.

79CamaroDiva 01-21-2008 10:54 PM

are those wheels painted black or are they black chrome? hard to tell from the pics.. if they are black chrome, they're the exact wheels i was looking for..

they dont use the same mold, if they did it wouldnt fit on your car since oem c6 z06 wheels dont fit on fbodys or c5's. even if they did fit they arent the right sizes to be made in the same cast.............

• 18 x 9.5-inch front wheels with 275/35ZR18 tires and 19 x 12-inch rear wheels with 325/30ZR19 tires

is the stock setup on a c6z06

oh...thanks. well i still like them.
they are painted black. i saw some black chrome (not these exactly) but i wouldn't take car of them that well and pretty much watch them pit away. you could always get them black chrome-plated i guess.

Mike 01-22-2008 03:31 PM

i like em too, just clearin that up...

I agree, why so narrow? I would have gone 275s on the front a def a 295 or 305 rear. I'm running 295s on my 10" rear wheel and it looks gooood.

sweetbmxrider 01-22-2008 08:30 PM

yeah i am going bigger. 275/40s front and 295/35s rear. i have approx. 2 inch drop so i was a little concerned. having trouble getting matching tires for some reason. going to see if i can get Firestone Firehawk Wide Oval's from my supplier. i do want to look gooood too!

Tru2Chevy 01-22-2008 08:34 PM

What brands can you get? There are better tires out there than wide ovals.....
