These ARE the good times!

It just dawned on me as I was researching some parts for my AMX as to how good we have it now as automotive aficionados! Thanks to the WWW and other sources, even weirdos like me who are into obscure auto marques can still usually find what we need! Hell, I'm even able to order some parts right on line with one click shopping! Yep, it's good to be king!!!

I agree.

How has it impacted the swap meets around the country? More or less people buying? More or less people selling? Are people "window" shopping at the swap meets, then going home and ordering online, or are the incredible deals really still at the swap meets?

I think that part of it is good, but it's also making people think their stuff is worth more than it is when they see something even remotely equivalent.

Just because the 440 Charger sold for $85,000 on eBay doesn't mean a 318 Charger is worth nearly that much, etc...

the WWW and mail-order are indeed a boon for us, but they have also caused the demise of the local speed shop.

anyone remember places like PCA, Van Iderstein, and Mother's ?

OTOH, most of those shops had goobers working for them...

I love window shopping for parts online...... and the researching is even better
Plus when I get in a parts store I buy unnecessary things for my car cause of the while I'm there factor:rofl:
