man on mars?

This stuff always gets my attention. JM told me that she heard it today while I was at work. I'd like to think there is some sort of life somewhere else other than Earth. Look at the millions of stars, how can we be the only ones? As far as this picture goes, who knows.

so they lol like the sand people???? maybe mars is tatooine???

Frosty 01-24-2008 08:54 PM

I doubt it's any type of life form however we're not alone in this universe. To think we're the only form of line among the billions of stars is ignorant and quite arrogant.

i'm gonna go with "that's just a rock"

firehawk1120 01-25-2008 06:40 AM

why do they only have one picture? can't they videotape it? Does it move or is it stationary? what about tomorrow will it be in the same spot with another picture???

Any of these simple questions I think can answer whether it is a living thing or an inanimate object like a rock.

they maybe can, but dont forget the pic was taken in november and NASA just received it.if the probe took another pic exactly same spot, itll def let us know of its somethin alive or a rock depending if its still there or not.

Fast92RS 01-25-2008 07:55 AM

Thats pretty cool. Maybe its a statue. Mars' version of the thinking man statue.....

V 01-25-2008 08:07 AM

Teds89IROC 01-25-2008 08:27 AM

The picture was taken in November and NASA just got it in January. Unfortunately they have no idea about these things till way after it actually happens.

90FormulaWS6 01-25-2008 08:34 AM

so thats why they cant find sasquatch

BigAls87Z28 01-25-2008 09:01 AM

Big Foot jumped on a Mars rover, and has been hanging out on Mars for a few years now. Good stuff.

As for trying to get more pictuers, it takes a long long while for an electronic command from Earth to travel into space and make that rover move. Then after it moves, it takes more time to signal that info back to Earth saying "I moved".
Its not like an R/C car.

300 Billion dollars for a space ship to land on mars and they cant even get a camera installed that doesn't take fuzzy pictures. Christ; Best Buy sells better cameras!!!

Yup, and if the surveillance sattelites can take pics from space and tell you what year a penny was minted thats laying on the ground, I'm sure we have clear pics of Mars. That or the fact that martians are actually blurry. I know. I've seen them.
