Just got my new spoiler thought id post a pic. It fits really well; I thought I would have to do some heavy sanding. One question though, Im not going to get the entire car sprayed till i buy the ss hood (buyin that next Friday). I figure its gona take me about another month to save for a decent paint job after that - is there any way i can spray this spoiler? not looking for show quality but id like to keep it on for the next two months or so before i get it all painted - cause otherwise im just gona put the stock on back on.

looks good...paint it

usp55 01-25-2008 12:30 PM

thanks; i really want to but i plan on dropping a large amount of cash in about two months to do the entire car with new hood so i dont really want to put money into painting it unless its something i can make look reasonably well painting it myself - is that possible?

bubba428 01-25-2008 12:37 PM

yes....but it takes time patience and practice. and a ton of rattle cans LOL. but seriously, if you can afford to get the entire car done that is 100% your best bet. I've done a few rattle jobs and they can never match the car perfect and it just isn't the same and a pro job

usp55 01-25-2008 12:41 PM

yea im not looking for great quality here but just want it to match from a far - is there any way i can ruin the spoiler or cause my self more cost ( have to strip the spoiler or more prep work) when i have it professionally done?

IMO just leave it til it's done right, less chance of screwing something up

usp55 01-25-2008 12:51 PM

yea prob what gona happen, prob take it off tomorrow and put the stocker back on

bubba428 01-25-2008 12:54 PM

thats the better idea

Mike 01-25-2008 12:58 PM

yup, take it off and leave it so the body shop has less work to do in prep......which will save you a little money

yea dont spray it with rattle cans PLEASE, and dont even bother "practicing" yourself even if u have access to equipment. ALL that will have to come off in two months then, more $ spent then.

I agree with everyone else. It looks good, and don't paint it yourself. Whatever you put on it, will only have to come back off.

usp55 01-26-2008 01:38 AM

yea there was no way i was gona paint it, but i have the patients of a 3 year old

Blacdout96 01-26-2008 01:39 PM

it looks good, but is it me, or does the wing have a lip at the top of it?

yea looks like a slight lip to me too..not really feeling the taillights but hey its your car

Blacdout96 01-28-2008 07:21 PM

i have those same lights, but instead of chrome, they have a flatblack backround. i suggestthe black ones with a black car

usp55 01-28-2008 07:22 PM

yea it has a small lip, the shadow makes it seem more than what it is.

i liked the smoked one better.
