Personalized License Plate Question...

What's the law on old personalized plates? I know I can sell plates that are over three years old on Ebay, but what if I sell a pair? Can someone register their car with them??

yes, as long as its available. What a lot of collector car guys do is buy year correct plates on ebay and register their car with them. I had a pair of 1955 New Jersey plates on my '55 F-250 and I kept them and I have them for the '55 Belvedere. So if you sell them or buy them, you can register your car with them as long as it isn't taken.

Nice, thanx for the info! Now to see if anyone wants some personalized Impala SS plates - I had "RM2ZOOM" on my old '96 SS, and still have 'em here. And I'll be retiring my "1SS2NV" plates from the Monte very soon; maybe someone here with an SS F-body will be interested.
