TH350 rebuild

I'm rebuilding a TH350 non-lockup. I get the rebuild kit tomarrow. This is going to be strickly for the track. I'm going to block off the kickdown cable because i won't need that for shifting manually. Does any body have any performance tips or any advice on what or what not to do? This is my first tranny rebuild so i'm looking for any kind of advice. Thanks in advance.

if you are going to manually shift a th350 youd beter buy tha manual valve body kit and not just leave off the cable. Line pressure will suffer and the trans will not live long.

I plan on getting a reverse manual valve body. TCI?

the kits we get have red alto clutches and the coated Koolene steel discs with the band welded on the end < never seen the need but they do it the race kit also comes with teflon ring seals all the rubber and paper stuff and the complete bushing kit and front and rear seals not cheap but its the best as far as a race kit goes -- http://www.tsr-racing.com/ -- the place we buy them at -- jz
