WTF is it with Speed Channel....

... and NASCAR? 180 hours of PRE-RACE coverage!?!?!! WTF!!!! NASCAR can be fun to watch but all that over coverage makes me want to send them death threats. Put Monster Jam and IHRA back on!!!!

Dude, Daytona is this weekend. It's like the Superbowl for us rednecks. Naturally, it's going to eat up air time on Speed. Hang in there; this too shall pass.

Street Tuner Challenge is on now, followed by American Muscle Car (The Last Stingrayis on AGAIN!!) and then Car Crazy, then infomercials.

Nascar 24-7 is for people like me, its one of those things that you just love. I got to experience for a weekend working on a nascar team at lime rock park,CT ever since then I just live nascar. By time Aug comes I will be living in the nascar world. And this is a big race its the 50th anniversary Daytona. This is the first time they have painted the word Daytona on the race track wall in any other color besides black and white. The bad part is nearly all the teams are having a hard time with the rear of the cars. the nascar mandated rear springs arent working to good with the bumps in the turns. The car is set up in the rear for drifting. it's been to stiff and you will see some of the cars start drifting in the turns. but because of the new spoiler, the spoiler helps catch the car and bring it back into a staight line. This was alot of random stuff but o well.

Agreed. I really don't care about baseball or football too much, and they whore up ESPN and such all the time, even in their off seasons.

They should just make a NASCAR channel, and speed can go back to covering WRC.

I saw that about the cars being hard to handle. Should be interesting to watch. I'm sure a lot of the cars wont make it to the finish line.

I also like to watch the races, but I just think 180 hours is a bit too much just for pre-race coverage. By the middle of the season I get burnt out by all the coverage. Plus they take all the other shows of he air for the most part. No more IHRA, not as much Monster Jam, etc. F-1 is about all I'll watch on Speed now until Thanksgiving lol

Seems like every time I flip on Speed that there is some dooshy import tuning crap on. I'd be happy to flip it on and see some Nascar stuff going on!

Speed had no WRC this year because WRC didn't get a TV package together in time to get into Speed's schedule....that was straight from the WRC website.

I have grown up watching Nascar, and still enjoy it, but I agree, Speed's coverage of it can be quite excessive. It would be ok if it was just for Daytona, but now that the season is starting, there will be Nascar on all the time.
