Its all ice ... be careful out there
Cause I was just rear-ended in the Saturn..
About 1/8 mile away from my house, slightly downhill, a suv in front of me tried to turn into their driveway, and slid past it almost into a pole. So, I stopped completely realizing I was a sitting duck Then BOOM, girl in a early 90's cavy nailed me. Damage report: Front of her car banged up pretty well. Right side headlight seems to have fallen into the bumper. As for the Saturn ..... slight scratches and some red paint on the back bumper. No deformation of the bumper at all it seems. I am very impressed with how well it held up. I really don't care since its not much, but I had to have a police report filed to cover my butt. I'm not even mad, even felt bad calling the cops. |
damn.. glad you're ok.
|
that sucks...the roads aren't to icy here but its been getting colder
|
yeah it's icy out i just hit my fence .. atleast your car is ok
|
yea I'm glad too. Only reason I called to have a officer come, is because guy at work told me once he got hit by a lady and had no damage. So, he didn't get a report filed. Year or so later he was summoned to appear in court, cause the lady WENT AFTER HIM for personal injury. She didn't win cause it was her fault but its a lesson to always cover your arse.
|
yeah, its a bit slick out. To make matters worse, I have yet to see a plow truck or a salt spreader truck out. nothing, and I mean nothing, is plowed or salted. not even 206.

that sucks are you ok
|
Damn Tim, I'm glad you're ok man.
|
I left work at 1 when it started to coat the ground. I ended up working from home the rest of the afternoon and still put in 9 hours. I learned a couple of weeks ago it wasn't worth waiting. There is no way I would be able to get up my driveway now, it's a sheet of snow/ice. Not a good night to be driving around. These are the conditions that people get overconfident in their "4 wheel drive" and go sliding off the road.
|
It took me a little over 2 hours to get home from school today. Insane. People really need to learn how to drive.
|
someone actually flipped their vehicle about 2 miles from my house while I was at work. not sure if anyone was seriously injured or not though.
please be careful out there everyone. a few extra minutes of driving slowly could save your life on a night like tonight. I don't like reading about my friends in the obituaries. |
glad you and the saturn are ok........
those cavi's are a one time use car...... they don't do well with accidents:( |
glad your ok,
and to those who's world is turned upside down by a lil snow.... HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA... ...that is all |

my 42 mile commute home took 3 hours  I took my 4th gen to work today, instead of my S10 4x4, because I didn't think it would be so bad. On the hills of Rt. 46, all I saw were RWD Mercedes, BMW's, Mustangs, getting stuck... man, am I glad I had the SGS button and my Avon M/S tires ! |
It's ALL ice up here.
Tim, crawl under the car tomorrow and see if the absorber and/or reinforcement bar is damaged, those plastic bumpers have a big habit of popping right back out. |
Yeah, there are way too many idiots driving in their 4 wheel drive pickups and SUVs going way too fast on 2 laned roads no less pasing up people on rt 18 tonight. I had a night class at Cook/Douglass and on the way there and back from the Bridgewater area, I took Hoes lane to 18 and there was a guy or girl tailgating me on the way there. I came to a complete stop with no one else around me and stayed stop for 5 seconds and started going again. Needless to say, that person backed off afterwards. I can't believe anyone would tailgate on these nonplowed roads where you can really only go 25 without fishtailing. Along the way, tons of people in SUV's and pickups are passing people like nothing doing what seemed like 35 mph, which was nuts.
Same on the way back. I swear that sitting up high gives people a complex in their SUVs and pickups. I drive a little Hyundai so if they eat it and take me with them, I am pretty much dead and they get nothing more than a few scratches. |
Good to see you and the car r ok tim!
about the weather MY part of SOOOUTTTTTHHHHH Jersey for the win! had some sleet/freezing rain and now its 44 DEGREES right now! no ice |
good thing i bought my civic beater haha that go kart is amazing in the snow
|
The rain melted everything away here.

i was sittin at a light at the bottom of a hill and this silverado 2500HD with 4X4 in huge letters on the side, turns up the hill and the rear swings into the curb, he rolls down the window on the driverside and looks at the ground, backs up and tries it again, spinning the rear tires and slides the back into the curb again, backs all the way out into the intersection and my light turns green so i start going around him, roll down my window, and say "wanna try that four wheel drive out???" lol he didnt like that and sed sumthin back but i was already driving away lol
