What size line wrench..
What size line wrench do i use for the brake hose? I used a 12mm but its a hair too big. im gonna havef to buy one at autozone or something if i have to but i want to make sure i have the right size. Im trying to do it right now as we speak in front of my house on the street. i got about 50 feet of extension with a drop light lol. cops dont care though thank god.. any help?

Where is this brake hose? Just buy the 5 pack standard and metric set and be done with it.
If not, and if you can, usually I have better luck on brake fittings with vice grips rather then the line wrenches. Line wrenches usually round off on stubborn ones. |
or a pipe wrench, and maybe some PB Blaster penetrating oil if its rusty. but its most likely standard. if i had to guess, close to 7/16" - 3/8" (1/2" ~13mm). a whole set wouldn't hurt though.

I would reccomend a set of them too, they are great to have. And when the line breakes when you are trying to replace it they will again come in handy

ya i had a good set til someone stole them at my old job. i just used a vice cuz i couldn't find my 7/16. i hate when a 10 minute job turns into a huge project. can't complain too much though. it was the cheapest brake job ive ever done. i just looked at the receipt and i was way off on the prices before, 10.99 for the caliper 17.99 for the pads 21 for the rotor and 14.99 for the hose.

1 caliper & 1 hose? You didn't so the pair?
|
i always do brake work in pairs. trust me going to the left or the right while braking is not as cool as it sounds.
|
I used a standard 11mm wrench on my T/A.

i would def do the pair. goin back and forth is not fun.
