i might be trailering a car for someone out to PA. its roughly 180 miles each way. i dont know to much as of right now, im just trying to get a number in my head to tell him. what would you guys charge per mile. i dont know what a good rate would be.

Lets see 360 miles /12mpg towing = 30 gallons of fuel @ $3.50 = $105 in fuel costs alone triple that number gets you $315 for a rough profit of $200 and it will probably take you 8 hours total (with fuel stops/traffic) so thats $25/per hour in your pocket....

No less than that.....not worth the aggravation otherwise.....

A freind of mine had a tow truck and picked up a car for me. He did 100 miles each way and only charged me $80. I think that just basically paid for his fuel.
