I had to talk my way past the security guard to get in, but it seemed to work. The drivers allowed me to take pictures as long as I didn’t take any of the interior. They also would not talk about the motor, but said I will not be disappointed.

The car has a very aggressive look to it, and it was rolling on 20 inch rollers.(275 rear 245 front) The brakes looked a dwarfed behind the wheels. I don’t know if that was because of a smaller wheel on the v6 or if big brakes are an upgrade.

My memory card got full when taking the front nose pic. It had the z06 scoop on the hood. Use your imagination on this one.

The engineers told me they had shipped the car down here from Detroit to test it out in the humid weather we have here. The passenger had a laptop with some type of monitoring software.

I wanted to talk to them more about the car, but the security guard was yelling at me for blocking traffic. He seemed pretty upset for a guy making $9 an hour.

The car sounded good as they throttled it out of the parking lot!

sweet. looks nice, and still has the trailer hitch!

12secondv6 03-10-2008 04:18 PM

Back of the car is ugly as sin!!!!

Still dissappointed.

79CamaroDiva 03-10-2008 04:18 PM

I like everything until the last few inches on the rear end.. i really really dont like that.

GP99GT 03-10-2008 04:42 PM

Ran out of space on the memory card, as mentioned in the first post

More pics added, including front shots!

The hitch is for hauling testing equipment behind the car. All preproduction cars have it.
These are great shots, and I am still very happy. Cant wait to own one.

SteveR 03-10-2008 05:35 PM

OMG what happened to the headlights

ar0ck 03-10-2008 05:40 PM

I really like the rear view of it, but the front looks massive and stubby if that makes any sense. It looks a little to short like they squeezed the front & rear together to make it fit.

Please dont start....

88Z-Man 03-10-2008 06:25 PM

Still have to see it in person. But these look like the best shots yet. Rims look good, but like the guy said the brakes look small unless its an illusion from the size of the rims. Don't like the reverse lights in the middle of the rear even though they are tiny. Think its all gonna come down to the first impression when you walk up to it and around it, the test drive, and the price.

Fast92RS 03-10-2008 06:49 PM

I have to see what it looks like in person. I just cant tell if i like it from the pics.

BonzoHansen 03-10-2008 07:01 PM

I like the chrome around the tail lights.

procamaroz28 03-10-2008 07:04 PM

i like the head lights.... but just when u think the back can not get any uglier they throw on a hitch lol

As has been said in just about every thread on every board with pictures that show the pre-production car's headlights.....they are junky parts-store pieces tossed in there to provide light. They will most likely not reveal the production headlights until much closer to public release.

BonzoHansen 03-10-2008 07:46 PM

what is the white thing sticking out of the grill?

BigAls87Z28 03-10-2008 09:33 PM

Testing air flow through grill, another part of the testing equipment. like the things in the rear bumper.

And yes...the headlights are cobbled together from stuff they got at Autozone. Every preproduction car have these headlights, just there so they can drive it at night legally.

photochop fun on the net...

I can't wait to see how long it takes for the aftermarket to come out with a hide-a-way grill conversion.

Ok starting to like it better. Still not crazy for the interior shots I've seen, but the exterior ones make it look more like the concept which I liked.

Future model years should have functional brake vents in the rear quarters.
