Fuel Gauge Woes
my fuel gauge on the 3rd gen has been wrong since i can remember
so i put in my IROC gauge cluster the other day, and the gauge is pegged past F Is this the classic sign that my float is either A: stuck or B: sender is bad? If so, i kinda figured it was. and i will replace it. what do you all think? |
Could be either of those. Also, in older cars there is a ground for the sending unit, and if it is not properly done the gauge will be way past F. That could be the issue as well, I'm not really up on my third gen tech.

I had a similar problem with my guage being inaccurate. The guage would bounce all over the place. I replaced the sender assembly but have not driven the car since too see if it fixed the problem.

i c. i will check for a good ground, and hope thats all it is
