progress on the iroc..

ok so the other day and today i started working on my iroc. started stripping the engine bay of non essential wires and other useless crap that looks like :moon: Today i got the engine bay sanded and repainted flat black and man it looks so good. Hopefully on friday i will have the engine actually in the car, not sure about running but physically in. I will post some pics when i upload them. thanks

that looks really good/clean. i'd give the trans some nice paint attention as well if its still out of the car.

yeah it is, the only problem with that is the trans leaks like a ***** and is alway 'wet'. Im going to look at it tonight and see how bad the gears are inside...if they are totally gone then ill need some kind of service or something :( but thanks for the replies...now if the exterior looked that good...

ok got an update, finally got the motor and trans in. The trans is ok for now, its still going to whine but at over 400 for parts it can stay like that. my trans guy said its fine and replaced a bearing that was shot. so i bolted it together and here we are...

yeah i know, those eye sores lol, this motor isnt permanent, just until i save up the money to get a 350 or lsx series. I dunno yet tho, they work for now and they match the outside of the car haha

sweetbmxrider 04-13-2008 07:49 PM

true if you are doing a different motor then eff it. you could pick up some hi temp ceramic du pont stuff at napa or whatever and make it look nice for a little. but whatever works.
