I never thought I would get this depressed, somebody help me please.

Long story short.....

driving: (1997 Formula Firebird)

I missed a deer. In missing said deer, I hit a fence. The only good part of the situation is the fence kept me out of the reservoir. I'd rather have a munsoned quarter panel than a soggy car, or be dead.

Anyway, my body shop guy says bc its a quarter panel it will be tough to bang it out and bondo it good enough to get the new light assembly to go in correctly. He suggests cutting a quarter off a junker and welding it onto my car. sounds like a lot more work.

He said either way it will be more than 2k. I honestly just dont have it in me anymore to deal with people. Should i just pay the money and get it done or try to bang it out and bondo it myself and take it to get resprayed.

my quarter is gonna get banged out. And it is pretty bad, but straight near the lights so im not sure. With the cost of paint nowadays definitly shop around.

cut and replace is the only right way, bondo will most likely crack with the flex of these cars. getting a good 1/4 should be fairly easy. people part cars all the time, offer them to remove the shell for free. ive given chassis away like that before.

Do it right. Those cars do not take hits well
