Metal Shavings

I take it my motor is on its last leg. Car overheated and dumped coolant into the motor last year. I knew the bearings took a hit but i wasn't expecting it to be that bad. How long before it poops out on me?

guy on ls1tech told me that if the clump smears, its mostly dirt and just some shavings either from the valvetrain or wear, and it did smear. It seems that my car is pretty gunky (is that a word?) on the inside so i'm gonna start her up this weekend and seafoam her. if it blows up, at least i can go all out with a new motor

you can always try Reslon to that stuff can work magic i used it on my mustang and it really got alot of stuff out of it

yeah man, if you find a piston in there id worry, but if you just did a cam and heads you will get a little debriss like that, i still get some shavings on my magnet on a stock LS1 with 35,000 miles on it
