Planning a big swap
Ok, so I've been getting ideas to drop in an LS2 with a t56 into my bird. I was just wondering if it would be a direct drop in or what kind of modifications I have to make to make it work. It would come with the pedal assembly and ecu and everything needed really since I have the auto in my car now.

Kmember, suspension, ECU, wiring harness, pedal assembly, center console assembly, radiator & rad. support, exhaust (manifolds, cats, y,catback)
some more those are just some |
k-member, really? damn, I was hoping not. lol. i'm assuming it'd be the same for any LSx motor?
|
yeah you just need a later 4th gen kmember bonzo is selling one out of a 99
|
first I gotta save the 7 grand for the ls2 if I plan on doing it now
|
might as well buy an ls1 car IMO

gto would be best, because he could actually use the transmission........unlike the tbss or vette

I've got a '99 Camaro with the 3.8 V6, and have been thinking about an LS2 swap myself.
But then I wonder if I'd be better off just selling it, and buying a '98 - '02 that already has a V8 ...? I've got alot invested in my car (entire new suspension, new rear), which is why I'd rather keep it and work from there. any comments appreciated :) |
