they've always had a Navy flyover from NAS Oceana, Virginia Beach, every Opening Day for as long as I can remember. They usually have one Opening Day, Memorial Day, and Fourth of July every year. Not sure what the connection is with the Yankees and NAS Oceana, but they've always done them.

I might think the rain out/reschedule screws things up.

They were supposed to have a flyover yesterday, but maybe it was cancelled cause it's a night game.
