NEW NIPPON MOTOR OIL 0W-50/ WORTH THE PRICE?
1 Attachment(s)
Go on to www.eneos.us and check out the latest high performance motor oil called Full Synthetic 0W-50 ENEOS. Is it worth $11.49 + shipping per quart? At what point do you believe that MORE expensive is always better!
0w50 is good for use in places like alaska and the north pole where the temp goes below minus 20 degress and the oil will still flow at that temp when cold.

i thought 5w-20 was piss thing, i wonder how thin this crap is
ed, your engine was not designed with low viscosity motor oils in mind, heck they werent even invented yet. If you go to a thin weight moil like that you will likely see a loss in oil pressure, espically when hot. I would reccomend going to a thicker oil then you run in the winter now that the warmer temps are here.
Ed, Im gunna tell Brady that you were talking about something other then Valvoline!!
10w30 Mobil 1 on the 72 10w30 Val High Milage for the Caprice Maxx used to get Mobil 1 5w30 for every oil change I did on it. I treated her good. |

I was trying to be "sarcastic" about this stuff! I use Royal Purple 5W-30 and believe that for the most part, it does what it says. My point was that now NIPPON has this 0W-50 stuff(at over $12.00 a qt. with shipping)and at what point do you overpay for something and still think it HAS TO BE BETTER just BECAUSE IT COSTS MORE.
eh who needs oil changes? i think my beater has somewhere around 6-7qts of oil in a 5 qt pan....and i think the last time it was changed was about 10k ago... lol but my jeep gets dealer service every 2500 or so. camaro will be getting 10-30 castrol syntec blend
my truck takes 20-50 or thicker. if it took 0-50 itd cost me more then it would in gas to drive the thing.
