Zmax
Any one try this stuff.
Its said to do wonders to your engine. Soaks into the metal to fill cracks and scrapes. Also says it tears down the gummy deposits you may have on your intake piston camshaft and valve guides. Iv seen it on two guys and the kid at pep boys said he learn't about it in his automotive class. I bought it but havn't tried it yet. Still waiting for the car to come back from the shop. |
If it sounds to good to be real.......
If these additives really did this they would be on the cover of Road and Track,Motortrend and every musclecar mag. |
I actually saw that demonstration your talkin about on 2 Guys Garage. It really does look like some good stuff but I havent heard any feedback on it yet but im definetly curious.

i saw the 2 guys show also. does look like it works, but dont forget, the same sam memello who advertises zmaxx, also pushes the tornado for mpg and power.....
if you believe what you hear, its been around since the 40s or 50s. i dont think it could really hurt to use it. might help. but on the flip side, there have been 10s of thousands of motors that have gone 100K, 200K, 300K miles without zmaxx, and they made it just fine. the guy with the 96 chevy pickup made 1 million, without zmaxx. id try it, if i ever found it. id put it in my truck first, before my TAs. |
Be careful with any of these additives. A lot of them contain chemicals that end up rotting your engine from the inside out. Just do regular oil changes(and you don't really need synth oil either) and your motor will last fine.

Seeing as I just dumped almost a grand to get the head gasket job done. Ill hold off on the zmax stuff. Wait to find some other opinions on it that have tried it already. Plus its 32 bucks! Ill put that towards performance parts!
