Bummed out x11ty billion

I applied for a loan saturday for something I hadn't planned on coming across, but saw thursday here in town. Monday goes by, nothing from the bank, tuesday(today) rolls around and I get a phone call at 3 pm from the bank saying I'm approved. I called the place that had it and they just sold it at 1 pm today.....:cry::cry::cry::cry:

It was a dark blue 1969 Pontiac Firebird with a white convertable top in really good condition that only needed minor TLC.

Thanks everyone. I had planned on just saving up all year and buying a house, but I absolutely fell in love with that car when I saw it. It really sucks.

It would have just pushed me back a few months on buying a house, not totally.

on my way to the south meet i passed by a '68 firebird, '69 camaro, '77-79 firebird (the bandit style TA), '71-74 camaro, '85ish camaro and a fourth gen. i told justin that when the court comes through and the settlement is done, i will have to rent a three-car trailer, something to tow it with, and run down that road again. i couldn't believe there was so many cars for sale.

sorry about your loss. keep looking, you'll find one (or one will find you... as was the case with my '69).

Some things are meant to happen for a reason. This may be one of those things! You might find the perfect house next week!

BigAls87Z28 04-16-2008 01:14 PM

A house cant do 11's in the quater!!

bubba428 04-16-2008 01:19 PM

that sucks man....I know where theres a few bandits just sitting.....probably get them cheap. I can go try and talk a deal out of them if you want?

Featherburner 04-16-2008 03:22 PM

It sucks that you missed it. If you don't mind me asking, how much was the car going for?

Don't take too long. Act now while supplies last.

SteveR 04-17-2008 01:11 AM

I know how you feel man, I've been there, lost the last ever built big block corvette (1974) to roll off the assembly line by one hour.
