i am nowhere near newark, but there was some hub-bub down the street from me last night. they made people park at the end of the street (that live down there) and walk to their houses. i figured it was a fire since i saw a hose connected to the hydrant in front of my house, but i didn't smell anything or see either fire or plumes of smoke and i am close enough for both - it should have reeked and i should have at least seen the smoke or the steam. don't know what exactly was happening, but lots of lights...
