Hey fellow Computer Geeks

Anybody play with Windows 2008 Server yet?

I'm bored at work and just installed it on a virtual machine...its kinda ticking me off, its got the same set up as Vista and its got the same pain in the @$$ way of doing things as Vista. Have to open up 3 windows to just get to the IP configs. DCPROMO isn't happy because i only assigned IPv4 addresses and there is no way to disable IPv6.

Not yet. We are running server 03 and I don't think we have plans to move up.

blah vista hater in all ways shape and form here
only reason I have a second partition on my hard driver for vista is because of DX10 and game playing when it is needed.

I haven't played with anything above Server 2k3 yet, but it really won't allow you to disable IPv6 at all?

Some of my servers run win2k3, most run Linux due to linux being free and me being certified. I Haven't messed with win2k8 but i'm not really looking forward to upgrading anytime soon, too many issues with the visa-like systems.

we just got a copy in the mail and i installed it just to see what it was like, and its like vista. Also its not compatible with exchange 2003 and exchange 2007 only runs on 64bit systems.
