well as of what I know they had the firehawk formula models with this wing. I dont think they had the firehawks with the T/A wing. If you have seen a firehawk with a T/A wing i would assume it a clone or someone had a TA and put a firehawk decal on the side. the same thing goes for the LT1 firehawks they had only as a formula model. the 1992 Firehawk used the firebird, formula and possibly the trans am wing. But this is only what I assume. Not fact.

im pretty sure early on in the LS1 years you could order a t/a firehawk. later years you could only get a formula firehawk. I could be wrong though. I'm no expert.

My 2002 T/A Firehawk has the T/A wing. You had the option of keeping the T/A wing or paying another $700 for the Firehawk wing.

Firehawk options: http://www.geocities.com/ramairta2002/2002firehawk.html

see that, I was wrong

deadtrend1 04-27-2008 01:12 PM

Thats not the firehawk wing, its just the stock bird spoiler.

Firehawk wing has the long led brakelight. You could have it optioned any way you wanted to.

Firehawks had 3 different wing options. With a Trans Am you had the option of keeping the WS6 spoiler or the IROC SLP Spoiler. With the Formula you had the option of keeping the factory Formula/Firebird spoiler or the IROC SLP spoiler.

Heres zuuhlsT/A WS6 Hawk with the IROC spoiler:

did u put a quarter in his parking meter? its the fbuddy thing to do!!
i saw a firehawk in point the other day. i think it was red too.

LS1Hawk 04-28-2008 05:33 AM

The RPO code for the Firehawk was actually WU6. You couldn't order the WS6 package if you were getting a Hawk. You would either get a standard Formula or T/A from Pontiac and then the car was shipped to SLP for the modifications.
